Luxury is not about excess.
It is about designing for human performance, well-being and clarity.
01
The brief: a new superyacht, inside and out.
Palmer Johnson asked for a new superyacht proposal: exterior, interior, everything. The obvious route was to make it richer: more materials, more features, more shine.
But I wanted to know what luxury actually means to the people who buy these boats. Not as styling. As a way of living.

“How do you design for people who operate at their highest level?”

The insight
High performers prioritise themselves: their time, health and state of mind.
Not out of selfishness, but to perform at their best. They protect their time, optimise their environment and invest in recovery. That became the foundation of the design.
Spaces for calm, rest and recovery.
Every space was asked one question: does this help someone think clearly, recover faster, function better? Quiet cabins, soft light, uncluttered layouts.

02
Designed from scratch, as one system.
Exterior form, interior experience, engineering and build were worked out together, not one after the other. Even in luxury, cost awareness and smart sourcing mattered.

Sarco. Strong proportions, a calm interior, and an identity you can read from a mile away.

Recognition
Silver, European Product Design Award 2017.
One of several international design awards for Sarco, developed with Bozca for Palmer Johnson and pitched for production.
What I took away
Great luxury design is not about showing wealth.
It is about enabling people to be at their best.
